As a JavaScript Developer working within the Interactive Game Development team, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and maintenance of our mobile and web games. You will work closely with designers, artists, and other developers to create interactive and visually appealing games that captivate our audience.
Main Responsibilities
Working as a member within a team of developers producing code and supporting materials which are both functional and operable
- Develop and maintain mobile and web-based games using JavaScript and Pixi.JS
- Working with other departments (art, design, project management, test) to deliver high quality games
- Implement solutions which conform with architectural design
- Implementing Unit Tests
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Working within agreed timeframes and logging time spent against projects
- Performing regular code reviews amongst the team to maintain a high standard
- Debug and resolve technical issues
- Ability to work cross-functionally to identify problems and create innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement
Required Skills and Experience
- Ability to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role
- Ability to plan and prioritise workload
- Good communication skills
- HTML5
- JavaScript (including knowledge of ES6+ features, e.g. Classes, Promises)
- JSON
- Use of a game engine such as Pixi.js or Phaser
- Node JS
- Source Control (Git preferred)
- Knowledge of Unit Testing in JavaScript
Beneficial Experience
- Experience working in the iGaming industry
